Bio

Ris Aguiló-Cuadra (b. 1994, they/she/he) is a multidisciplinary Chilean-Puerto Rican artist born and raised on Long Island, NY. They studied drawing, painting, and printmaking at Stony Brook University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2020. In 2023, Ris graduated with honors from Queens College with a Master of Fine Arts degree, having been one of ten MFA candidates across CUNY selected for the ARTNOIR Artistic Pathways Scholarship. While at Queens College, they developed a practice of drawing, ceramics, musical composition, and performance, culminating in a solo thesis exhibition in December 2022.

Ris has performed and exhibited work at galleries such as Field Projects, Culture Lab LIC, and The Mills Pond Gallery. They currently work as a bilingual (English/Spanish) museum educator at the Hofstra University Museum of art, with students ranging in age from two through seventeen.
